About All Time Franchise
All Time Franchise is a simple way to browse all time rosters for every NBA franchise. Each team page includes a starting lineup, a bench, and honorable mentions so you can quickly compare eras and build your own “best of” roster.
Goal: make it fast and fun to explore franchise history, while still letting you customize lineups and share them.
How the site works
- Index page: browse every franchise and see the current starting lineup at a glance.
- Team pages: reorder players by dragging and dropping names to create your own custom roster.
- Share: copy a link that includes your lineup so you can send it to friends.
- Reset: return a team or all teams back to the default roster.
Roster modes
The Settings toggle lets you switch between two roster datasets:
- Duplicates Allowed: players may appear on more than one franchise team.
- One Team Per Player: each player only belongs to a single franchise, so there are no duplicates.
These modes can change how certain players are assigned, especially for players with meaningful tenures on multiple teams.
How rosters are chosen
Rosters are built using a mix of franchise impact, peak performance, longevity with the team, accolades, and historical significance. There is always room for debate and that is part of the fun.
If you spot an obvious omission or have a strong case for a change, you can use the customization tools to build your preferred roster and share it.
